Join us for a full day of play and learning and get immersed in this beautiful and secluded woodland. Each day will start with a short story and include games, craft activities and simple tool use such as whittling. You can adventure, climb, cook lunch over the open fire and round the day off with a story or songs around a campfire and a delicious hot chocolate.
2 August - Robber or King?
Make a hobby horse/sock puppet, be the robbers or the king, adventure around your kingdom and discover what happened to the magical glass cupboard.
9 August - Woodland Hero
Make a magic wand like the hero of our story. Make Elder bead necklaces and a five minute fire.
16 August - Hunter Gatherer
Learn the ways of the hunter. Make a bow and arrow or a catapult, forage and cook on the fire.

Wraxall Piece is a wonderful woodland and a dedicated Forest School site owned by the Forestry Commission, our learning partner. Wraxall Piece is teaming with incredible wildlife and plants such as protected English bluebells, badgers, deer, great spotted woodpeckers, buzzards, many wildflowers and much more! It's more likely you'll meet the snails, slugs, worms, centipedes and millipedes whilst at Forest School. Wraxall Piece also offers more privacy from dog walkers and the general public which allows children to play more freely.
