Prepare for a day of Dragon hunting in the stunning Tortworth Arboretum.
We will be transported back to 1000 AD, the Viking era. Tortworth is a small remote village besieged by dragons. Our mission is to protect the Tortworth goats, and ourselves from dragon attack!
On arrival you will be enrolled into the dragon fighting class. You will learn tracking skills to look for clues and signs of dragons. Each candidate will make their own sword for training. We will build camouflage dens to hide under and set some dragon traps.
After lunch we will learn to light a fire and cook ourselves a delicious treat. All rounded off with a snack, drink and some fiery dragon inspired stories around the campfire.

Tortworth Forest Centre is based at Tortworth Arboretum, Wotton-Under-Edge, a historically and culturally rich woodland in South Gloucestershire.
The arboretum is a 20 acre site once owned by the Ducie family, part of the original Tortworth Estate. The arboretum trees were planted by the third Earl of Ducie, Henry John Moreton, from 1853 onward, complementing the existing ancient trees spread across the Tortworth Estate parkland. He continued this until his death in 1921.
The arboretum is currently being lovingly restored for community use by Tortworth Forest Centre.
